Hi, my name is Adham. I am 26 years old and currently pursuing a Master’s degree at DIT.
Do you have any questions about student life and the Master Life Science Informatics programme? I would be happy to share my experience with you and give you an insight into life as a DIT student. I am looking forward to hearing from you!
Why did I choose this study program?
I chose Life Science Informatics because it combines my interest in biology and data analysis. This interdisciplinary field allows me to work on real world problems in healthcare, genomics, and biomedical research using computational tools.
My personal tip to you:
University life is about more than just lectures and exams. Make the most of your overall experience – join activities, talk to new people, and step out of your comfort zone. These experiences will help you grow just as much as your academic studies.
Good to know:
It’s completely normal to feel a bit nervous at the beginning – but don’t worry, you’re not alone. Everyone here is friendly and open, and you’ll quickly meet people from different backgrounds and cultures.
That's what I particularly like about my course of studies:
I really like how the programme focuses on practical applications such as data analysis, bioinformatics tools, and working with real biological datasets.
That is why you should study at the DIT/ECRI:
DIT/ECRI offers a supportive academic environment with modern facilities and an international community. The professors are very dedicated, and the university staff are always helpful, making it easier for students to grow both academically and personally.
That's why you should study this course of studies:
Life Science Informatics is a rapidly growing field with excellent career opportunities in biotech, pharmaceuticals, and research institutions.
My best experience during my studies:
One of my best experiences has been adapting to a new environment and becoming more independent. Living and studying in a different country helped me grow personally, gain confidence, and learn how to handle new challenges.
