20190827 IMIA appoints ECRI at MedInfogb European Campus Rottal-Inn elected as a member of the International Medical Informatics Association

27.08.2019 | DIT-Press - On August 26, the International Medical Informatics Association (IMIA) elected the European Campus Rottal-Inn (ECRI) as an Academic Institutional Member during its General Assembly at the MedInfo 2019 conference in Lyon, France.

ECRI representative Prof. Dr. Georgi Chaltikyan attended the 17th World Congress of Medical and Health Informatics, MedInfo 2019 in Lyon, France as an Academic Institutional Representative, presenting ECRI and its Digital Health study programs to the audience. On August 26, the International Medical Informatics Association (IMIA) held its General Assembly during the MedInfo 2019 conference. During the General Assembly IMIA unanimously elected ECRI as an Academic Institutional Member of IMIA. With the election, ECRI joins the ranks of famous fellow Academic Institutional Members of IMIA such as Harvard Medical School and Stanford University.

ECRI is also an institutional member of the International Society for Telemedicine and eHealth (ISfTeH) and the European Federation for Medical Informatics (EFMI). Both are leading international umbrella associations in Digital Health.

MedInfo is an annual conference that is a worldwide key event in Digital Health. It aims at sharing knowledge worldwide and increase the health of people all around the globe. This year’s MedInfo 2019 is organized by the French Association of Medical Informatics (AIM) together with IMIA and takes place in Lyon, France from August 25 to August 30.

IMIA is an ‘association of associations’ that acts as a bridging organization that brings together the constituent organizations and their members. As the world body for health and biomedical informatics, it encourages and supports international initiatives to improve health for all.
